In addition to taking amazing project-based workshops with Shaina and enjoying your exclusive knitter's goodie bags, you'll experience some of the best that Savannah has to offer during our private tours and experiences.
Pack your weekend bag and get ready to have a wonderful time exploring Savannah, making new knitting friends, and having a lot of laughs and fun along the way.
Our Weekend Knit-Away Itinerary
Day 1: Thursday, December 4, 2025
Arrive in the “Hostess City of the South”, check into our hotel, and then join Shaina and the other members of our group in the afternoon for a welcome party and knitting workshop. Following our workshop, we’ll make some of the dishes Savannah and the South are known for in our private cooking class. Finish the day by relaxing and knitting on our hotel’s rooftop bar.
Day 2: Friday, December 5, 2025
After starting our day with a knitting workshop, we’ll take a Savannah food tour for lunch and then head to City Market for their holiday market.
Of course, a trip to Savannah wouldn’t be complete without a stop at Savannah’s Frayed Knot Yarn Shop. In the evening, we have a special surprise rolling in before our Pajamas, Pizza and Wine Party with more relaxing knitting time.
Day 3: Saturday, December 6, 2025
After our morning knitting workshop, explore Savannah on your own with some down-time or join the group for a private tour of the SCAD Museum of Art. In the evening, we’ll take a Savannah Ghost Tour and then have our farewell dinner at the iconic Olde Pink House.
Day 4: Sunday, December 7, 2025

Knitting Workshops
in Savannah with Shaina
POP CULTURE BULKY HAT CLASS
Learn the basics of Intarsia and simple seaming as we knit a quick hat together - FLAT! This hat has multiple motifs to try and a rainbow of colors to choose from. The yarn used is a bulky wool from Berroco.
DESIGN YOUR OWN COWL
Using plug-and-play patterns and worsted weight merino wool yarn, design your own cozy cowl in this hands-on workshop. The pattern will offer over a dozen different stitch patterns and suggestions on usage. The yarn will be hand dyed by Shaina exclusively for this trip!
ART DECO BEAD KNITTED NECKLACE
Inspired by the history and art around us, learn how to work running thread beading as we knit necklaces in silk. These necklaces are finished with loops-and-button closures.
