Join me on an unforgettable Danube River knitting cruise April 4-11, 2027. The grand cities we'll visit while cruising along will provide the perfect backdrop for all the crafting, laughing, and knitting we’ll be doing in our tight-knit group.
We’ll visit museums, yarn shops, take tours, and enjoy this incredible journey along the cities of the Danube River together. Knitting time and taking workshops together will spark our creativity and bring us a deeper understanding of the knitting history and techniques of the region. Our themed workshops, tours, and fiber projects have been curated specifically for our tour.
Connect through our common threads as we share our passion for travel, food, art, history, and (of course) knitting - all while experiencing the beauty of the Danube River on Ama Waterways.
Sunday, April 4th 2027
Welcome to Budapest! We will board the Ama Magna, settle in for our amazing adventure, and start to get to know one another at our Welcome Dinner and first knit night.
Monday, April 5th 2027
Our second day continues in Budapest with visits to yarn shops and optional city tours through Ama Waterways. We'll have our first formal workshop.
Tuesday, April 6th 2027
We begin with a group knitting workshop aboard the Magna and then explore Bratislava and get a Taste of Slovakia during our food tour.
Wednesday, April 7th 2027
Enjoy a tour of the Schonbrunn Palace and Gardens and then take an optional yarn shopping tour through Vienna.
Thursday, April 8th 2027
Today, choose your own adventure from one of Ama Waterway's many excursion options in Krems. Take the Apricots and Sweets Tour, enjoy a Wine Experience, take a hike, and more! In the afternoon, we'll reconnect for a workshop.
Friday, April 9th 2027
Take one of Amas suggested tours to Salzburg or Cesky Krumlov or join Shaina exploring Linz's rich history as a city of arts during the "City of Media Arts Walking Tour". After that tour, we'll shop at the numerous yarn shops surrounding the Linz Main Square. When we are back on the AmaMagna we will get together to knit.
Saturday, April 10th 2027
A day of relaxation and knitting with an optional walk to the yarn shop in Passau or an excursion with AmaWaterways. When we arrive back aboard the AmaMagna, we'll have our final workshop, knit together, and reflect on all of the incredible experiences we've had before dining together at our Farewell Dinner.
