Festival of Lights 2024 Club Box
Product Details

It's BACK for the fourth year in a row! Festival of Lights: the epic Hanukkah Yarn Box is now available for pre-order.

The theme of this year's box is comfort, home, and hope. This means that the pattern is going to be super simple and extra cozy. The yarn colors are more muted than my usual bright, bold style. There will be goodies and treats in the box to help you relax while you find meaning in the holiday.

And, for the first time... there's a choice of yarn colors!

Included in your Hanukkah Yarn Box:

  • 1 (100g) skein of "Bounce" 2-ply fingering weight 85% Merino Wool/15% Nylon (394 yds/100g) and 1 (100g) skein of "Whirl" fingering weight boucle 100% Superwash Merino (492 yds/100g) hand-dyed by Shaina exclusively for this kit in your choice of one of two colors (with the option to purchase both)
  • A knit shawl pattern designed by Shaina especially for this yarn set
  • Knitting Bag
  • Handmade stitch markers
  • Chocolate!
  • Tea
  • Plus, MANY other wonderful surprises to bring you joy on Hanukkah

There will also be a Zoom meet-up for the Festival of Lights Club members Sunday, December 29th at 8:00 pm EST.

Even though Hanukkah is at the end of December this year, the Festival of Lights Club Boxes are expected to ship out in the middle of November to avoid holiday shipping delays.

The two inspiration pieces for the yarn colors this year are an untitled sketch by Marc Chagall, 1947 and "Star of David" by Yaacov Agam, 1976.

A portion of the proceeds from the first set of Festival of Lights boxes was donated to Magen David Adom, Israel's EMS organization.

In December and until the boxes are sold out, $18 from each Festival of Lights box sold will be donated to Yarn Yisrael Chai, an organization that is working with multiple groups in Israel to provide knitting supplies and facilitate knitting circles for displaced and traumatized Israelis. As we know, creating knit and crochet pieces is an act of love and can help mend the soul. Our monetary donations to this group helps pay for the shipping and transport of yarn and knitted items from the US to Israel. Donate directly here.
