Crochet cast on
Knit/Purl
Decrease (CDD)
Increase (m1L, m1r)
Bind off
Weaving in ends
Finished measurements: Approx. 50”/125 cm wide and 60”/150 cm long when laid flat.
Gauge: 10 stitches and 16 rows = 4”/10 cm in stockinette stitch using either a Super Bulky weight (CYCA #6) yarn or holding yarns together to achieve a Super Bulky weight according to the chart on Page 5 and using size needle to obtain gauge.
Tip: Work your swatch on the thickest yarn in your assortment. That is your baseline thickness.
Needles: US 13 (9 mm) 40”/100 cm circular needle or size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Yarn: An assortment of yarns in all weights finer than and up to a Super Bulky weight (CYCA #6) gauge.
Yardage: Approx. 1300 yards if worked entirely in Super Bulky weight yarn.
Since this blanket is worked with so many different weights of yarn and extra yardage is needed to account for the multiple strands, estimate the approximate yardage by making a pile of the yarn you intend to use. If that pile looks to be as large as a large folded throw, you’ll probably have enough.
Other Materials: 9 mm crochet hook for crochet cast on, stitch markers, tapestry needle.
