
Glimmer Wrap
Geometric shapes and playful stripes shimmer across this rectangular wrap. With shapes inspired by the facets and sparkle of gemstones, the Glimmer Wrap is a fun-to-knit piece that uses 2 or more colors of fingering weight yarn.
Construction Details:
The Glimmer Wrap is worked from the center towards the outer edges. The triangular shapes in the pattern are achieved by working short rows. Optional bobbles are made in the bind off.

Sizing and Materials Details:
Sizes: One Size
Finished measurements: Approximately 14.5”/36 cm wide & 60”/150 cm long.
Gauge: 22 sts and 38 rows = 4”/10 cm in garter stitch, blocked, using size needle to obtain gauge.
Needles: US 6/4 mm 24”/60 cm circular needle or size needed for gauge. Adjust needle size as necessary to obtain the correct gauge.
Yarn: Fingering weight (CYCA #1) yarn in the following quantities:
Main Color (MC): 800 yards
Contrast Colors (CC): 78 yards each of six CC or 470 yards total of one CC.
Sample is shown in Hand Dyed Yarn by Shaina Bilow “Bounce” (85% Superwash Merino Wool, 15% Nylon; 394 yds /100 g skein and 78 yds/20 g mini-skein). Two 100 g full size skeins in “Almost Black” and six 20 g mini skeins in an assortment of colors were used.
