Yarn: 3 colors (A, B, and C) of DK weight (CYCA #3) yarn, 150 yards each color.
I recommend that you use solid or semi-solid colors. To ensure contrast for the stranded colorwork or striped sections either use highly contrasted colors (yellow, blue, pink) or try to vary the value of the colors you use (one dark, one medium, one light)

Needles: US 6 (4 mm) 24” circular needle or size needed for gauge and US 5 (3.75 mm) 24” circular needle or one size smaller than size needed for gauge.
Gauge: 22 stitches and 26 rounds = 4” in circular stockinette on smaller needle and stranded knitting on larger needle.
